Tiffany & Co.
Tiffany & Co. is a company with a rich history, that has kept its legacy fresh in many people’s minds since the early 19th century. Tiffany & Co. was started in 1837, in Brooklyn, Connecticut. It was founded by Charles Lewis Tiffany and John B. Young, and it was created to serve as a stationary store. Originally, it was named “Tiffany, Young and Ellis”, but later when Tiffany gained control over the store, the name was officially changed to “Tiffany and Company”, and shifted the focus of the store to what it is now known for: jewelry. Since then, the store has opened many locations in some of the world’s most known cities, such as Paris, London, Kuala Lumpur, Melbourne and much more. Along with producing unique jewelry pieces and its original stationary, Tiffany & Co. also makes fragrances, leather goods and personal accesories, such as glasses; of course, Tiffany & Co. has gained some of its popularity from its color, known as “Tiffany Blue”, as most of the items purchased from the store come in boxes of said color. Not only has the store gained its fame through its history, but it’s also been recognized by pop culture, more notably, the film “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”, a 1960s classic film starring superstar Audrey Hepburn.
